If you’ve never been to Ludlow then you’re in for a real treat, it is one of the most quintessential English towns you will ever find, with virtually every street giving a picture postcard view, and offers everything you could ever wish for in a countryside town.

Every Englishman’s home is their castle, and numerous nobles and Royals have claimed Ludlow Castle as their home.
It stands a magnificent centerpiece to the town, with the town walls extending from this ancient fortification to include much of the town.

Ludlow is a real gastronomic town, boasting several top restaurants, and hosts three fantastic festivals, the Spring Festival, Ludlow Food Festival and the Medieval Festival. Ludlow was the first town in the UK to join the slow food movement Cittaslow, and it’s easy to see why real food from fresh ingredients have become so central to the town when there are so many great producers trading on our doorstep (and supplying us with great ingredients for our own dishes).

We could go on, but for a full itinerary of what’s on check out the Ludlow Town website, and don’t forget to pop into Ye Olde Bull Ring Tavern for a little food and drink along the way.
